London Green Party

Want to help turn London Green? Here's how.

24 June 2009

There has never been a better time to get involved with the work of the Green Party in London.

Any help you can give us, from a regular donation to work on the doorstep, will make a real difference to getting more Greens elected in your area and across London.  At local borough council, London Assembly, Parliamentary and European level, Greens can and are creating a fairer, cleaner, more affordable future for everyone in our city.

Join the Green Party

As a member, you can be as active as you like - from armchair and online support to standing as a candidate for election.

In your local area, you can help get Green councillors elected by delivering leaflets, by fundraising, or by knocking on doors and talking to people.

Your regular donation will help us stand more candidates for more elections, and help the party do more to support the work of our members across the country.

Help elect London's first Green MP

For the first time the Green Party has a great chance of making the breakthrough into Westminster at the next General Election, with Green Leader Caroline Lucas in Brighton Pavilion, Deputy Leader Adrian Ramsay in Norwich South, and Darren Johnson in south London's Lewisham Deptford constituency.

To be certain of victory in Lewisham, we need a lot more help from supporters, members and volunteers from all over London who know that Green MPs will transform the heart of British politics.

To help elect London's first Green MP, sign up to the campaign emailing list by sending a blank email here to receive regular campaign updates and news about Lewisham Action Saturdays.

Or, sign up to Darren's election campaign Facebook page here

Find your local Green Party

The best way to get involved is to find your local Green Party, listed at the foot of the front page of this site.

The campaign is beginning now for the local elections in London in 2010. Your local Green Party website will have officer contact details and a list of forthcoming events and campaigns in your community to join in with.

Or, simply join the national Green Party and your details will be passed onto your local Party for you, who will then be in touch.  Either way, joining in Green Party activity, whether as a member, supporter or activist, has never been easier.

Sign up for updates

Get regular news and campaign alerts from the national Green Party by signing up for our Green Bulletin email updates.

Messages are sent about once a fortnight – slightly more often at election times.

We’re committed to keeping your email address safe, and won’t pass it on to anyone else.
