Why should you vote Green on June 4th
When you vote Green:
you vote for someone who won’t put big business, free markets and old economics first.
When you vote Green:
you vote for someone who supports decent wages, warm homes and public transport. You vote for someone who cares about the quality of our food, air and water.
When you vote Green:
you vote for someone who wants a nuclear-free future and to bring our troops home.
We want a future where we live within our means:
• invest in warm homes, new jobs
• save energy, green spaces.
We want a future where we care about each other:
• fair pay, fair trade, decent pensions, truly public services
• rights for those seeking – asylum, privacy, a fair trial
• an end to unjust discrimination.
We want a safer, healthier world:
• invest in peace – in the Middle East, Iraq, Afghanistan; ban nuclear weapons; strict arms control
• tackle climate change: ‘no’ to expanding airports, ‘yes’ to clean energy and green transport.
A proven track record
When you voted Green, you elected Jean Lambert as London’s Green MEP.
In the EU, Jean has voted to:
• make sure you are treated equally, whatever your age, race, gender, disability, sexual orientation or belief
• protect your rights at work
• stop cruelty to animals.
In the EU, Jean has worked to:
• protect your environment and your health
• give you a voice when decisions are taken.
Your vote really counts
Just one in ten voters backing the Green Party on 4th June should ensure Jean Lambert is re-elected to the European Parliament. Under the proportional voting system every vote counts. Vote Green and help get Jean re-elected.
