Ann Garrett
Ann Garrett, 64 has been a member of the Green Party for 13 years and is well known for her work for CND. She trained as a drama teacher at the Central School of Speech and Drama, acted with Theatre Centre and was a founder member of Theatre in Education at the Belgrade Theatre.
She has read poetry on Anglia TV, written scripts for BBC Schools Radio and is presently teaching acting and voice at Morley College and media education at Greenwich University. Ann is battling with Bromley Council to stop them closing the Studio Arts Centre and is helping the campaign to save Erith Marshes, which is part of her constituency.
She is a member of the London Nuclear Trains Working Group, opposing the transportation of nuclear waste through Bromley Borough.
